Rehearsals Staged

If  minute travesties expanded time to finish the tragedy| In a stage mourned and sorrowed| Rose petals tore down the curtains stained from wars we crafted beneath our arguments| And augmented dialogue unfinished| Filling in blank spaces with sounds of our surroundings| Listening amongst the outside| Where the tickets we sold amounted to nothing more than reflections mixed inside our show| We exposed to the world a stage in reality| Yet all they did was witness nothing more than a comedy|   And scorned our characters because we couldn't do more| In their suggestions we grow| But from their judgement the reflections glow| And shine a light with screams of realisations| The writers became the audience|   And finally  they see that the secrets beneath their seats| Were only truths they chose to hide behind| The words they knew not the meaning of| Their hands clapping and asking for more| In stages the meaning of seeing become a blinding ref...

Road To You

I've stepped on the backside of my memories past| To avoid all the potholes cementing our path| Not bearing my skin to the callousness of the rough roads we've crossed| I've stared and admired your face from a birds eye view-| every single detail recorded and shelved inside a safe-| As shoulders lifted me higher to see you sitting there waiting for someone to sit by your side| And so I waded across oceans just to grasp and hold you in my arms| To keep you safe from the perils and desolation| Isolation has succumbed| Softly reciting prose that come from my heart that I longed but shied away from revealing| Until I knew your ears were out there seeking my words| And so I came knowing that my chances were cemented inside the glare with which you stared| And showed me that the long road to love was only a step away|

Loose words

There's a strange feeling that grows where the mountains glow| Lilacs mascaraed an earthy feel| Glares pass cadences from poems of past| Holding reverence in an ever-changing world| Weighing upon Atlas' shoulders| Strength comes in vexing times| Through smiles and gales| The concoction of a tragedy never fails| As we plunge towards the depths of a well| Our voices recorded and echoed where we fell| The story will be foretold as a myth once experienced| Expired from memory| Bellowed from a clergy| The cycle ending with a cry from her belly|

Why?

Would you exceed in compassion if you lived through destruction?| You know| Most of us don't bother until we live through the pathos| It is not what we witness| But what we experience that brings forth compassion| Sad isn't it?| Looking at someone else we only complain| Not until it is our turn do we stand|

If Death

If death tangles its claws in the dead of night and my redemption should arrive| I greet it with open arms| Grant me one last hug| Squeeze the life out of our last waltz| Hold my hands for I do not know the way-| Guide my steps through the star-less night| Memories fade away when eyes hold no fray| Standing together on an endless path| Dancing to our song| One last rendition before we lose each other to the notes strum| Singing a farewell to the ones we held strong|

Rambling #1

Strings attached| Cache denied| Paperbacks ripped from its spine| Hardcovers hardened with time| Spaces filled in the gaps| Phrases created the lines| Behind the letters began| Forming sounds repeated through you and I| Escaping| A lesson learned| Deciphered| Counteractions counting down through interactions| Digesting the outcome in fractions| Contraptions displayed the thought to backtrack that misguided sidetrack which once started| Now sits second in line| Waiting impatiently to shine| Bright nights disturb my sleep| Endless ramblings create my dreams| Sidelined spectators cheer on my struggles if only heard through my screams| Writing these prose to speak the unheard noises succumbed from your voice|
